August 18, 2010 -
perhaps the most important post in the history of chippynews.com
Please consider forwarding this
information to 10+ friends and
entrepreneurs. For many Americans,
this will be an easy and profitable
way to cash in on the Second Baby
Boom. This is not theory. 100 million
young Americans--from 5 to 30--are
already beginning to influence the
economic and political trends of our
country, and I know this matters to you.
The impact of this New Boom will be
as far-reaching as what we saw in the
fifties, sixties, and seventies (but
this time we are looking ahead).
We havebeen in a deep recession and
the wounds will not be fully healed
for years. But there are reasons to
be optimistic about the next 30 years
(and ways to profit).
Let your friends know (for health and
economic reasons).
For some of us, this is our last big
chance!

powerful, FREE and
simpler-than-anything new system.

1. Bob
Giddens intends to test this presentation in
a USA Today ad and in local paper ads as
well. Response details will be available to
readers of this website. Along with the
Mini-Website (the URL will be
Item #1 -- right in my ad) I'll
follow up with a newsletter (Item
#2 - sent electronically or by mail)
and the company DVD (Item #3
- must go by mail -- not available
electronically).
2. Bob
intends to use that same #1 - #2 - #3
routine with personal prospects. Use your
own lists or visit < http://www.chippynews.com/Spiral_Notebook_Plan.htm
> and study the Spiral Notebook Plan.
Prospects are everywhere and they are free.
A very strong cold call script (for
purchased lead or strangers right out of the
phone book) is being tested by a
gentleman in California.
3. The
Million Friends System can be used by
anyone. Telephone or personal follow-up is
used to close people. New people can
instantly start using their upline's
Mini-Website or Bob's site (you
can order your own personalized URL whenever
they are ready - details will be posted here
tomorrow).
4. Million
Friends calls and the Chippynews.com website
are available as support (and
free). Three-way calling will be used
by leaders who have that skill. When it
comes to closing, some people are better
than others. But the basic program will
work for anyone. It is as foolproof
and honest than any MLM program I have ever
seen.
5. Some
people may laugh at the unsophisticated
recordings and graphics we use. If they want
a Madison Avenue look, we offer that in our
corporate DVD. Our Million Friends
Mini-Website is more blue collar--very real,
something most people should be able to
relate to. With some prospects that will be
a plus.
6. Now it
becomes a matter of numbers. I challenge our
participants to make a written log (perhaps
in a Spiral Notebook) and keep track
of how many times they put the Mini-Website
URL out to prospects. I suggest an initial
goal of 50 exposures to prove the concept;
300 exposures to get a good base started;
1,000 exposures to build a Ruby
distributorship.
7. Leverage
is very important...and this will prove to
be Million Friends' greatest power. The
system is so easy to duplicate. Not
everyone will be committed enough to
generate 1,000 exposures. That number will
separate the men from the boys. But if I put
10 people into the system I would expect
these results:
2 people will
send this offer to 0 (2 x 0 =
0)
2 people will
send this offer to 10 (2 x 10
= 20)
5 people will
send this offer to 50 (5 x 50
= 250)
1 person will go
all the way to 300 (1 x 300 =
300)
A Million
Friends worker can hope to generate 570
"leverage exposures" from each 10 recruits.
Somewhere in that mass of action a worker
should stir up a few people with
ambition and staying power. Then you are off
to the races.
Keep your ear
to your downline track. Stay in touch with
your people. Reach over as many shoulders as
it takes to make sure the good people who
respond don't get lost through inattention.
The work isn't hard but it does take a
little attention to detail. New people need
to be encouraged and directed as soon as
they respond!

Someone recently said to
me, "This appears to be a reading business. I don't know
if I want to read all the stuff on Chippynews.com and
all the emails." They were taking a shot at my habit of
putting a lot of advice in writing. Hey, if you can get
to Ruby or higher without reading, more power to you. On
the other hand, if you like reading, consider these
questions...
Are you influential? Are
you a pacesetter? Does what you say make a difference?
When you really set your mind to it, can make things
happen? Can you make big things happen? In other
words, can you move the needle? Will other people follow
your lead? Is your lead worth following? Even if the
obstacles are big ones, can you overcome them and get
the job done? Are you setting a strong example?
How strong is your
determination? How strong is your desire? Have you ever
taken an "I'm going to do it or die" stance? Have you
taken that kind of stance with respect to Vollara? If
so, are you moving the needle?
More than once a week, some
serious distributor asks me, "Bob, it's not happening
for me (or
it's happening too slowly).
What am I doing wrong? What do you suggest?" Quite often this is someone
who has worked long and hard. Or it might be
someone who has only worked for a few weeks but who
hasn't had anything good happen.
There is no single answer,
but I can say this: If you are asking that question you
probably haven't done all the things that are covered in
The Spiral Notebook Plan. I just went through the 8
pages of that plan and made a few updates. It
takes 45 minutes to read. There is a lot to absorb. But
it is golden.
Go back to the top of
this newsletter and reread all the questions that were
posed. There might be some pearls of wisdom in there.
Vollara is yours for the taking. I can't tell every
person exactly what to do. Each person has to figure out
the ultimate answers for himself or herself.
I am very convinced that
this is the right company and the right plan. I am
convinced that the Ruby rank is the place to be. Or
higher.
Sincerely and enthusiastically,

What's all the excitement about?
Why have we changed to a new supplier for our water ionizer?

In 1989, a Japanese-educated engineer patented the first
water ionizer engine; an electrolysis chamber that allowed
home water ionizers to produce consistent high pH and high
negative ORP restructured water. In 2005, that same engineer
made a quantum leap outside of the electrolysis chamber box
and patented Direct Disk Ionization. Just one
platinum-coated titanium disk could now do the work of
multiple electrodes and membranes, reducing both cost and
maintenance.
Since the first home water ionizer was introduced, the
competitive field has been about who has the most power or
surface area. No longer. Now it’s all about results and
affordability. The LivingWater ionizer retails for
$1,999.99. Same results for less than half the
price...sounds like a great idea!
The LivingWater™
Ionizer from Vollara is Smart Technology
Welcome to the next generation water ionizer for a healthy
body,
a healthy home and a healthy life.
• No plates or
membranes required. Direct Disk Ionization uses far
less precious metals and requires less maintenance. Water is
free-flowing through the ionizer...there’s nothing in the
way to allow mineral scale to clog up the process.
Accidental use of hot water will not harm the unit since
there are no membranes.
• Environmentally
sound, energy
efficient.
Consciously designed to use less of the earth’s precious
metal resources and the least amount of electrical energy to
produce the desired result... and the ionizer disk is
recyclable!
• Optimal
results. Produces a great negative ORP
(oxidation-reduction potential) with a higher flow rate than
old technology electrolysis chambers.
• Optimal safety.
Mineral scale causes platinum plating to wear away
on solid plates, and mesh plates, while they cost less, have
exposed titanium alloy that results in minute quantities of
heavy metals leaching into the water.
• Any water
hardness is OK. While old technology ionizers have
problems with water high in minerals (high TDS), Vollara’s
smart technology adjusts to TDS in the thousands as well as
well below 100. TDS levels are monitored and power output is
adjusted accordingly to produce a constant pH level.
• Continuous use.
A water cooled power supply allows for continual
operation without ever overheating. Conventional solid or
mesh plate ionizers can only operate for a limited time
before they shut down due to overheating.
• High quality
filter. A double filtration system removes chlorine
and other contaminants from tap water and makes natural
coral calcium available when water is acidic or soft. Water
from reverse osmosis purification systems can often gain
enough calcium to become ionized. Water from non-salt water
softeners is also ionized by our Smart Technology.
• World-wide use.
Can be used
in
any power environment with a plug adapter.

The person who builds 5

will have a minimum income of $1,800 per week and
an up-side potential of $7,500 per week.
This is where I
want you to go.
This is where I
want you to take your people. Make a firm
commitment now, work hard, and you can be
at the top of this plan by the end of 2012.
The bottom side of Ruby: $1,800 per week x 4.2 weeks

Now for a training essay...
Five strong legs. Five
strong legs. Five Strong Legs. Ten
are even better, but at least start with 5. A serious
person can have 5 strong legs started within a year,
maybe sooner...but those legs have to be fleshed out to
look like the model that is shown. Each Strong Leg must
contain:
.....................1. A
leader who is recruiting
.....................2. A
leader who is 100% committed to Vollara products
.....................3. A
leader who is committed to developing 5 or more Strong
Legs
.....................4.
Sub-leaders on the Leg Leader's first level
.....................5.
Leaders who understand what leadership is and teach it
.....................6.
Additional sub-leaders down in the group
.....................7.

The person who builds 5

The biggest challenge is to get other people to understand
and work the 5 Strong Legs Idea. Many people claim to
understand; but in various ways, large and small, they
don’t. They don’t put enough focus on the importance of
legs. They talk a lot about products and not at all about
leg building. They are good workers and dedicated people,
but they just don’t quite understand why legs are so
important. Your challenge is to convert these people.
A person who works products, products, products will
underachieve. It would be as if Ray Kroc had spent all his
time making and selling hamburgers and none of his time
building franchises. The franchising work is the BIG MONEY
work. Does that help?
If you stick to this plan—5 Strong Legs, 5 Strong Legs, 5
Strong Legs—you can eventually secure your future.
You’ll talk about the 5 Strong Legs idea hundreds
of times. You have to get each of your Legs
over the hump—and multiple leaders must be convinced in each
leg. This task is complicated by the fact that your leaders
will be quite varied. You’ll have some in their seventies
and others in their twenties. You’ll have people who are
well off and others who are broke. You’ll have those who
like selling and those who hate it; people who like
newsletters and others who hate reading. Somehow you have to
get the job done.
Don’t expect it to be easy. It is not easy to make a third
of a million dollars per year and it never will be. But it’s
doable.
Now it’s time for some honesty. Do you have any existing
Strong Enrollment Tree Legs (match what you have against the
graphic at the top of this newsletter—20 Active
distributors, several of which are leader candidates)? How
many Strong Leg candidates (already recruited) do you have?
How many Strong Leg prospects are on your list?
The time to get on the
right track is now.
You are never more than 1
year away from Ruby.

The link below is a first draft of our Million Friends short
presentation. There will be a number of edits, but this gives you an
idea. This should be enough to get you
excited. The full presentation will be complete very soon.
I haven't checked on David
McBurney's progress yet (since
returning from our trip),
but I will get an update tomorrow. This email message was
written a month ago.Best wishes to David McBurney from
Deland, FL, who is lying in bed recovering from a stroke.
Wanda found him on his office floor a few nights ago, his left
side incapacitated. He's looking at months of rehab to regain
the ability to walk. As if that's not enough, most of David's
EcoQuest income came from commercial business. Now that he'll be
unable to do mold work and commercial sales he has to rebuild
his network (with one arm and one leg not working)
just to survive.
We don't all get kicked in the gut
as David & Wanda just did, but we all have challenges. There are
hundreds of nice highlights mixed into the flow of our lives,
but the other 90% generally boils down to one big,
constant challenge.
By nature, we are optimistic.
Hunters expect to find game. Fishermen expect to find fish.
Gatherers expect to find fruits and nuts and even honey. We
always hope for the best. That great job. The right investment.
An invention that takes off. The winning lottery ticket. Young
men dream of making it big in sports. Women dream of having the
perfect marriage and building a successful family. Five times I
have dreamed of writing a blockbuster novel (The
Impossible Dream, Deep Creek, Six Visits To Earth,
The Great Wall of America, Irkutsk, there have
been others, too!). Seven times I've dreamed of making it
big in multilevel marketing (Amway, Shaklee,
Eagle Shield, Fischer International, Zenith, MXM Essential
Formulas, Alpine/EQ/Vollara, and others).
In every case I've given it my all,
or pretty close to it. You could probably say the same thing
about your best efforts.
This essay is written in the first
person, but I'm in good shape right now. My business is the
strongest in Vollara. I've paid the big price and a couple times
I've come out on top. Unfortunately, many of my friends are not
as comfortable as I am. Times are tough...
But these are my two hopes:
I hope we can all be sitting on top of the world at the same
time...
And I hope that day comes no later than 2012.
Here's what I know. No matter how
many lumps and reversals life dumps on us, we eventually and
invariably find ways to be excited and optimistic about
something else. I wonder how many times we've said, "Okay, I'm
going to do this one more time." Real estate deals have gone
south. Investments have flopped. Health challenges have taken
their toll. Relationships have taken bad turns. Governmental red
tape has driven us berserk. Companies have gone under. And,
yet, here we are; hopeful again!
Even after the
greatest of tragedies, there will still come a day
when your life will
have changed and you will feel
new moments of
emotional happiness.
If you're not hopeful this very
moment, I predict you will be soon. It's your nature.
I have evaluated the Vollara
situation carefully. I've gotten to know the owners. I've
studied the times. And I know network marketing. My conclusions
are these:
1. Timing absolutely could not be better. Even the fact that
Vollara isn't having explosive growth yet is good. It's in our
best interest to get a lot more leaders lined up on the starting
line before the explosive stuff begins.
2. The Vollara owners absolutely are going to make good on their
pledge to take this company to the stratosphere. Every move they
make won't be prefect. That's not how business works. But they
have the skills, the resources, and the commitment to make it
go.
3. Now the question of how. The answer is Ruby, Ruby, Ruby,
Ruby, Ruby. You need five strong legs so I said Ruby five times.
About twenty years ago one branch of Amway decided to bet the
farm on Diamond. They promoted the Diamond rank and taught
hundreds upon hundreds of people to focus on that one rank. In
their company (with lots of negative publicity
always going against them) they rewrote the record books.
4. Then there's the Million Friends system. All I can give you
for now is a sneak preview. http://app.talkfusion.com/fusion2/view.asp?NTY4NjQ5_3600688
You can use any business building system you want, but put the
Million Friends system somewhere in your agenda. Use it 10% of
the time, 50%, or 99%. We have something wonderful and I want
YOU to be in on it.
5. The US economy. We've been in a recessionary hole for 2 years
and it will be another 2 before most Americans feel like the
recession is over. But I'm looking 15 and 20 and 25 years ahead.
This Second Baby Boom we are having is America's new secret
weapon. It is a game changer. I urge you to dig into what is
happening and get on this bandwagon as early as possible.
This time, let's make our success
so HUGE that we will have it made for the rest of our lives.
Sincerely and Enthusiastically,

I
will help no fewer than 41 people change their lives...
The most important of those 41 is me! |
You don't have to be 100% committed to the Million Friends
System to sign the commitment letter at the bottom. You do have to want to
improve your life through Vollara. You have to be tired of
being broke, tired of worrying about your future. You have
to be ready to change.
The Vollara DVDs have been shipped
and our Million Friends mini-website will be ready very
soon. These projects go together, they belong together. The
photos below come from the DVD.
The DVD presents
Vollara as a conceptually solid company with an infinite
future. But no network marketing company has ever been able
to convey the "in the trenches" realities of networking
through their corporate video. Our Million Friends
mini-website tells the real story in real voices.
|
Here is a sneak
preview of how
YOUR
Million Friends
mini-website
might look. One click on the
video screen and the
presentation begins...
These sneak preview
recordings are incomplete. There are gaps. Joe
Urso's recordings and others are missing. For now, I
want you to hear the personal interest messages and
different accents we have woven into our story. The
story we tell is very real and it is slanted toward
finding leaders (which happens to be the most
fundamental key to achieving network marketing
success).
Call to Action
by Pat Ferguison
|
 |
|
Now let's get back to our explanation...
1. Vollara is absolutely
going to achieve greatness. Joe Urso and his management team have demonstrated their passion and
commitment for 15 months. The marketplace is ready.
Everything isn't perfect yet. But guess what? There will
never be a time when everything is perfect.
2. The US economy is in
a "never like this before and never again" state...
§
The crash of 2008 has brought us to the lowest point we
will see for the rest of our lives. There is nowhere to go
but up. No matter how bad our losses and pains might have
been, we would be crazy to ignore this and not take
advantage of it. We're not crazy. Nor are our
friends crazy. Nor is the public at large crazy. But most
people have to be alerted to the realities of this unique
time. They haven't
put the clues together and don't know where we stand.
Americans need to be alerted. That's what
Million Friends can do. But we need messengers. That's where
you and I come in.
§
Baby Boom #2 is not theoretical. We have 100 million
young people between 5 and 30. The advantages of this are
profound. Young people are ambitious and inventive. They
are consumers. Between ages 25 and 60 they require a lot
less government support. They pay taxes.
§
We are the only large, modern country to have this
advantage. For four decades the US has been losing
ground to international competition. This was caused, in
part, by our corporations taking their projects and jobs
offshore. It was also caused by the computer era. Smart
people in China and India—and there are plenty of smart
people out there—have become empowered to compete on the
world stage.
§
Energy issues caught us flat-footed. Every
generation of politicians dropped the ball in this case.
Neither party can point the finger at the other guys.
Energy costs are draining us. I hope the new Boomers will save us. It won't
happen completely in my lifetime, but I'll live long
enough to see these young people grow in influence.
They'll use their brains and votes and passions to say
"NO MORE" to the old ways. I think they will profoundly
change the American political landscape. Heaven knows,
it needs changing.
3. Joe Urso and his
guys have put us in a position to capitalize on the
opportunities of our day. Most of us have no part to
play in solving our country's energy problems. We can't
influence our political system. But we can analyze the circumstances and take
advantage of them. We can be a small part of the bigger
picture. We can do our part to make the economy healthier.
And we can enlist other people to these same objectives.
We
can do this by telling the Vollara story! The big
solutions we all want can only happen in a healthy economy.
By doing our small part we can help our country and make
ourselves rich at the same time.
4. By the way, there is nothing
wrong with wanting to be rich...or with wanting to help
other people become rich...or with getting romantic about
our methods...or with being patriotic.
5. We can also do
nothing. I contend, however, that the timing is so
spectacular right now...that millions of people WILL get
more involved. They will act on their ambitions. They will
catch on to these are positive times and do whatever they
can to win. If we do nothing, we will lose ground. Inflation
will come to America with a vengeance in the next decade. Do
we want to be a losers? We actually have a choice.
6. Whatever we choose
will not be easy. Life isn't easy. Never has been, never
will be. Joe Urso is working to make Vollara better and
easier. The Million Friends System has been designed to make
things easier. But easy and easier are
relative terms. If you decide to build a strong Ruby
distributorship and earn a solid $390,000 per year, you're
going to have to swim some raging rivers and climb some high
mountains. Even with 200 Vollara's DVDs, a Million Friends
mini-website, and a heart bursting with determination...it
will still be hard.
My Million Friends Declaration
No
More Procrastination, No More Excuses, My Commitment Letter
is Signed Today
Product Commitment: Autoship-plus
Rank Commitment: Ruby-plus
I
will help no fewer than 41 people change their lives...
The most important of those 41 is me!
The people who will make the following commitments include
Alpine/EcoQuest/Vollara veterans and new people who don't
even know what Alpine or EcoQuest were. We have people who
have been committed to this company and its products for 5
years, 10 years, even 20 years. We have full time career
people, we have a few who made millions in the Alpine glory
days only to see their groups shrink to insignificance, and
we have others who have been around for years without ever
doing much. The formula for today is the same for all of us:
I use Vollara's three major product line—water, air,
nutrition—because I believe in Uncompromising Health and
also because I believe in marketing leadership.
My goal is to build a
Ruby-plus business that has width, depth, and back-up
power. I will achieve all three of these parameters
(width, depth, back-up) within one year from today.
I will get to know my
people and support them by (a) setting solid
personal example, (b) encouraging and assisting them
personally, and (c) working in depth in each of my
legs.
Let's break down the
elements of my commitment:
The Ruby rank, by
definition, requires 5 Strong Legs. Technically, I can
qualify as a Ruby by having 5 "Team Leader 500" legs in
a single week. But the following week I would probably
not be a Ruby (because income status has to be
re-established every week). The solution is to adopt a
higher standard. I will build 5 Strong Legs
which, in each case, contain (1) a committed Leg Leader,
(2) at least 20 Active Distributors, and (3) increasing
numbers of Leaders down in depth.
The Leg Leader at the top
does not have to be someone I personally recruited. But
it has to be in a Leg I started. In other words, it
cannot be a person who was put into my Placement Tree by
someone upline from me. Sorry. Ranks are based on
Enrollment Tree strength.

If I do this 2 times I
will be a Gold, and if I compare my earnings to what I
would have earned as a Manager in the old Alpine or
EcoQuest plan I will be disappointed. Gold is not a
high-paying level.
If I do this 5 times I
will be a Ruby, and I will be happy with my income! But
I won't be a Ruby-plus.
If I do this 6 times I
will be stronger. I might even qualify as Diamond.
If I do this 7 times I
will be very strong. I might even qualify as Double
Diamond.
"Ruby-plus" is a higher
standard, which I am adopting. I will work to develop
twice as many legs as my "rank goal" requires. If my
rank goal is Ruby, I will develop and work with at least
10 Leg Leaders.
If I'm an old timer like
James Clendenin or Ed Hutchins or John & Jo Clements or
Dorothy Brodine or Judy Ciesielski, I will build at
least 4 new legs to go along with however many old legs
are still active from my Alpine/EcoQuest days.
I need extra width because
life has many ways of "getting in the way." Legs can be
lost to natural or personal disasters or for other
reasons. Just as we carry spare tires in our cars, so
must we have some spare Legs. A committed leader can
count on the Law of Averages, but he can't always count
on each individual person.
In each of my Strong Legs
I will choose 4 Anchors to work with. An Anchor is a
person who...
1. is a committed
Leader
2. handles his or
her own duties
3. I get along with
and can work with
4. Ideally, is in a
different geographical area.
Each of my Anchors will
set his or her own goal, but I'd like to have them
working to be a Ruby-plus or better. When I said I would
help no fewer than 41 people change their lives, this is
what I was talking about: Myself and 4 Anchors in each
of 10 Legs.
My Leadership Commitment -
A leader's starting point is the
example he sets. Are you "all in" with every ounce of commitment
you are capable of? Is your spouse on board with you? Have you
read this webpage? Have you made the appropriate Autoship
commitment? Have you started making contacts?
As a leader I will stay informed
about all Vollara matters. I will do this by reading from my
website, by attending conference calls, by attending functions,
and through outside sources. To be a good resource for my people
I must know what is going on.
I must also get to know my people.
Their names, phone numbers, email and postal addresses. That's
pretty basic, but most network marketing leaders do not have a
complete file of their people. When it comes to your Anchors,
you must know them in close up and personal ways.
I will learn how to "Reach Over
The Shoulder" of my people and get to know more an more people
down in the network.
My Commitment in Writing -
I have read this material and
I agree. No more messing around. I will work with the
Million Friends mini-website and with the company DVDs. I
have started today.

I will complete this table and
send it to my upline helper (may or may not be my sponsor). This
is a different layout of the old form we call a Leg Chart.
1. I will read my
Affirmations aloud every morning (including this one).
2. Today is a new day. I
will take advantage of this day and make something of it. If I
have not already made a written "To Do List," I will get a blank
piece of paper and start one now. I will work on some of my old
tasks today, but I will also make something new happen.
3. Without hesitation I can
name the leaders of my best legs. Their phone numbers are in my
cell phone and on my Leg Chart. I am Reaching Over The
Shoulder of each leader and getting to know the downline
people...not necessarily everyone, but the good ones. My
objective is to find additional Leaders and eventually to find
Anchors.
4. I am determined to
recruit some NEW ambitious people who are looking to change
their circumstances. I will use my Million Friends mini-website
to break the ice and determine their interest.
5. A Leg is not Strong until
it contains a Primary Leader and twenty Active people. The way
to get to more "Actives" is to get more and more sub-Leaders in
that Leg. Everything flows from Leadership.
6. I will print these
Affirmations and post them in visible places. My bathroom. My
refrigerator. My office. My car. My television area.

1. ALLOW
yourself to get excited about the long term possibilities that
are being unleashed for yourself, your distributors, your
family, your future distributors, and all the people down the
line who can potentially be impacted by these announcements.
2. DECIDE
that you will be stronger than ever as an advocate for the
Vollara opportunity and product lines.
3. BRING
OTHERS into your sphere of conviction. Vollara is a
network marketing company. Its success and your success and your
distributors' success all depend on the enlargement of our
sphere of conviction. Your success in this area will be a
function of your attitude, your actions, your determination and
the strategies you employ.
4. BUILD
IT WIDE. We don't all have the same goals, but the Ruby
rank (Level 9 of 20) is an ideal general goal. A great
way to start your journey is to aim for Ruby. You can raise or
lower this goal later on. A Ruby Business requires 5 strong
Enrollment Tree legs. Not 2...this has nothing to do with the
Binary part of our plan. A Ruby with 5 strong legs will earn a
minimum bonus check of $1,800 every week. That comes to $93,600
per year. That's the absolutely minimum a Ruby with 5 strong
legs can earn in 52 weeks. The upper potential for a Ruby is
$390,000 per year. You don't need 5 Team Leader 500 legs; you
need 5 strong legs. It is a higher standard.
5.
PERSIST. Things are looking
up for Vollara distributors and leaders like never before in our
young experience. But that does not mean it will be easy or that
you will get rich overnight. $93,000 and $300,000 incomes do not
come without months and years of focus and activity. May 26 is a
starting point, not a destination.
6.
GIVE THANKS. The former EcoQuest people
know that we almost didn't survive. Sixteen months ago we were
on the verge of extinction. Joe Urso and the Aerus group entered
the picture and saved us. They invested 25 years of business
experience, millions of dollars and 100-hour work weeks to bring
us to today. They brought a new and bigger vision to this
company. Even new people--who were not formerly a part of
EcoQuest--can appreciate that this massive opportunity did not
come together by accident. A lot of people have given their all
to make it so.
7.
BELIEVE in yourself and in
our wonderful collective future. Believe in your products,
believe in your company, believe in your people. When you tell
someone how great this opportunity is, believe your own words.
We invite you
to listen to the Million Friends Presentations this Friday night
at 9:00 PM Eastern time. Dial in to 641-594-7500, code 546009#.
Tune your computer to

hours, you will hear 3 different styles, three different personalities
at work.

7 Wonderful Thoughts
Have you scrolled to the
bottom of
www.chippynews.com/ZIP.htm and looked at my Goals
Presentation? You might find your picture there.
We've just had the most
positive promotional week since 1997. Most of you
participated. It's a great start. Besides the things you
heard on the Urso/Giddens calls, some behind the scenes
things also encourage me.
We've still got a ways
to go, and that's why I am sending this email. Here are
my Top 7 thoughts of the weekend:
|
1. Welcome back
to the leaders who have been discouraged
and/or hibernating. One of the most
dramatic revival stories of the week comes
from Diane Barrette. At first she told me
not to quote her; then she got on a
conference call and told this story on
herself. "I started listening to one of the
calls and found myself getting excited," she
said. "I ran to my dresser to get the cables
I use to record conference calls. It was so
funny to have those feelings of hope and
excitement again. I immediately started
calling my people and my new excitement got
through to some of them." |
|
2. Now is not
the
time
to kick back and celebrate. Ramping back up
to warp speed is a 7-step Process. [1] The
beginning. We just had a precipitating
event. It was a good one. [2]
There's a month or two of solidification.
Press ahead, press ahead, press ahead. Make
hay while the sun is shining. [3] Next comes
transference ([2] and [3] can
overlap). We have to reach out and
bring a whole bunch of new prospects to the
game. The best you can expect is to get 1
good worker for each 4 people who join your
group. So we're talking about at least 4 and
maybe 12 or 24 new people in a compact
period of time. [4]Monetary validation. You
need to see a nice check. It can be Fast
Start money, retail profit, Team Bonus or a company contest
check. It doesn't
have to be a fortune. $200 or $500 can be
enough for a new person. When hundreds of dollars start coming in
every week, things really get exciting. [5]
Serious dreaming and goal setting. I'm ahead
of you in that area. Check out
www.chippynews.com/Hawaii.htm. [6]
Momentum. Here we're talking about the
magical time that some companies reach where
it seems like everything is working. Morale,
excitement and growth are all high. Bonus
checks start zooming upward. Fully
engaged leaders begin to feel invincible.
[7] Solidification (same
word as we used in item [2] but at a higher
level). Even during momentum we
will still have weak people and new people
who are not yet where they want to be. And
the company will have growing pains.
Products may go on backorder. Services may
be strained. A true leader will keep
shoveling more coal into the engine...helping, encouraging, pressing ahead. How
long can you keep your momentum going?
Solidification can last 12 or 18 or 24
months. Then and only then do we really kick
back. |
|
3. Belief in the
company.
Some of you aren't fully there
yet. I completely believe in the long term
success of Vollara. Joe Urso is going to do
it. He's committed, he's determined and he
has the necessary skills. Each of us must get our own belief level up to a high
point; and we must convince more and more
people to become believers. |
|
4.
Excitement
about a system. My group has people who use
The Million Friends System, the Phoenix
System, Creating Wealth From Home,
Retailing and individualized freelance
methods. Whatever you want to use is okay. You can add Million Friends to any of
the others. See our conference call schedule at
www.chippynews.com. See our script at
http://www.chippynews.com/May2010-9ChartScript.pdf. |
|
5. Belief in the
future.
I'll be honest about this one. Some of my
best people are in their seventies and
eighties. I'm feeling young at 68, but there comes a time when a person asks
himself/herself if he really wants to keep
charging ahead. We can
push this company into a momentum period by
2011. If you can see your way clear to
develop 3 or 5 or 7 good Enrollment Tree
legs by January or February of next year,
you'll be in a position to lock down an
income of $130,000 a year (top
Platinum income. 3 strong legs),
$390,000 a year (top Ruby
income, 5 strong legs) or even
$780,000 a year (top Double
Diamond income, 7 strong legs) by the
end of 2011. Marvin Jackson at 82 wants to
make this happen. In our Million Friends
system we cover the Second Baby Boom every time we give a
presentation. This is as real as it gets.
The timing could not be better. So what do
you see for yourself? Clarifying your vision
is done, in part, through goal setting. |
6. Time
can
be
pretty
magical. There was a time in my
early Shaklee days—around Christmas
1971—when I looked at my group and
said, "I'm not sure if I have a single
good person. Some are buying products,
but I don't know if a single one of them
will make it in a big way." My checks
were low. I was scared. But I made a
number of declarations to myself.
a. If all
my legs quit, I'll get more. I only need
15 good legs to reach the top.
b.
Someone is going to do it, why not me?
c. The
big shots in Minnesota did it...so I can
do it, too!
d. If I
focus very specifically on my goal I can
get to $180,000 per year and have it
made for life [This
new Vollara plan pays SO MUCH MORE!].
If I give up on my goal, all the hard
work I've already done will be for
naught. So I hereby declare:
I will not give up.
By the
following
spring
I had the Jim & Margie LaRue leg going
strong. Under Jim the Randy Gunnip leg
was going strong. My Ron & Kitty Reihel
leg was going strong. Under Ron & Kitty
my Dean & Priscilla Smith leg was doing
great. My Herb & Freddie Baker leg was
doing great. My Bob Ewen leg was going
strong. Under Bob Ewen Eddie & Rosemary
Johnston were going strong. My Park &
Diane Bishop leg was going great. And my
Abe & Jyeton Whitworth leg was going
strong. Other legs were also coming to
life. I honestly can't remember them
all. I became a strong Key Coordinator
and started earning the highest income
of my life. A year later I was a Master.
|
|
7. Vollara is small and
primitive
right now. My guess is that we did about $40
million last year. Potentially, we can build
this company 30 times bigger in the next 10
years. Someone is going to ride on that wave
of growth. Why not you? Why not some of your
friends? Why not some of your friends'
friends? The time to push is NOW. The people
who will grow the most are those who get
started NOW. |
I caught the MLM vitamin
wave in the seventies and the air purification wave in
the nineties. We're at the threshold of a new wave RIGHT
NOW.
Sincerely and enthusiastically,
PS - Don't wait for things
to change. Be an instrument of change yourself. Don't
wait for something you feel your upline could or should
do. Don't wait until you get younger. That ain't going
to happen. The time is now.

What a Beautiful Letter
promotional version of Dorothy's letter:
www.chippynews.com/Dorothy.pdf
Preamble -
The Dorothy Brodine letter that follows
this preamble is full of power. Dorothy will be 79 this year on
July 3rd. She has grandchildren in the Army, Navy, Air Force and
Coast Guard.
Thank you, Dorothy, for allowing me to
share this with everyone in Vollara. The pdf file (above) is an
edited version. You'll have to paste in your name, phone, email
using old fashioned clip and paste methods.
Million Friends System calls:
Conference line: 641-594-7500, code for
listeners is 546009#
I have been
reading your emails
and
I
forword
them to
17 of my best people (I should
dig more out of my records - that's on my to do
list). I also
sent an email letting each of my 17 know my
commitment to this company. Several
have
said
please don't drop me, I am still very
interested. I will continue to feed them all
until I hear otherwise.
[My late
husband] Gordon was the catalyst that made our
network
grow, and I am so grateful for all he did.
It put me where I am today. Whether it was
Shaklee, Alpine or EcoQuest and now of course
Vollara (which
Gordon
never had the privilege of knowing),
I always supported him, mostly in the
background, however I LOVE network marketing.
I love the freedom I have had for 37 years, the
financial income, the health benefits, simply
EVERYTHING. It is a lifestyle that few people
ever get to enjoy and we can offer it to
everyone and anyone that will just take a few
minutes and check us out. I would like to shout
it to the world...especially to young mothers
who would like to stay home and raise their own
children, as I did.
You're
right, we did
buy extra
products to stay qualified under the old plan.
Thanks to Vollara's new plan, we can easily use
the qualification products
(just
sign up for Autoship and you have it made).
Then get a whole bunch of people that will do
the same. Not only will their life change, their
health will also.
I've been trying to sell my inventory the
past few months. I had several Fresh Airs and
now I am down to only 1. You know how much I
love this product, it changed my life. I talk
about the company and the products with everyone
I come in contact with. I have been giving the
Re:Vive samples attached to the flyer, so far no
takers, but I will continue to give.
I know this
is a numbers game and there are still some
aspects of the Plan I haven't grabbed yet,
especially the "Go Wide" thing (Enrollment
Tree). However, I don't have to know it
all in order to build my group, and that is what
I am doing. Gordon always worked in depth. He
realized the importance of making people feel
special. He seemed to have that love and desire
as a part of his personality. He really loved
helping others. I can't do what he did, but
maybe I can make a difference in some people's
lives.
I think the greatest opportunity here
is; that we have a choice, we can sell, we can
build our own business or we can simply use
these great products, no pressure!
I am so impressed with Joe Urso and his complete
staff. He is a real Stand Up Guy!!!
YES, I am
participating in the Million Friends System and
I promote this process to my people. Also, I
must find some new people to introduce this
opportunity to.
Our
conference calls are like the weekly meetings we
used to do. We kept inviting and hoped someone
would show. Now this is so neat, instead
of asking someone for a whole evening, we ask
them for less than an hour to listen from the
comfort of their home, and everyone has a
computer. Isn't this neat?
This makes the meetings more special!
Don't give
up on me, I am a little old and a little
slow, but I am here for the long haul. This is
my life.

Dear Million
Friends Participants and Candidates:
Are you going to read this?
Are you going to pass it on?
Are you going to join us?
On Wednesday, 4/28, our campaign
took a giant stride forward. Dick Schreiber began our call at
10:00 PM Eastern. He handed off to Karen Schwelling at 10:45.
Her presentation was over at 10:05 and we did some open line
chatting. Giddens started at 10:30 and finished at 11.01. We did
the Million Friends Presentation 3 times (but
with 3 different styles; several people said Karen was better
than the big shots).
I tracked the number of
connections. We had only 17 when the call began but more kept
arriving. We hit 33 about 15 minutes into Dick's presentation.
Then it dropped off between calls. Some people called back, and
we ended with 18 (one was snoring loudly).
Not quite a critical mass, but good.
Friday, 4/28, will be similar, but
the start time is an hour earlier. Bob starts at 9:00 PM, Bea
McNabb takes over at 9:45 and xxxxxxx will do the third
presentation.
What will critical mass do for us?
I think we need 30 Full Leaders or Associates.
That number is arbitrary, but I like it. We got to 33 on
Wednesday but many people were late. They weren't there to speak
up on the pre-call. Fully participating Leaders and Associates
are participants who agree to listen (and speak
their name/city) to 5+ calls per week. Critical mass
calls will be more impressive to guests, the participants will
be more inclined to invite guests, the speakers will be more
inspired and guests will be more likely to show up.
How, you might ask, can critical
mass from Wed cause more new guests to show up on Fri? The
answer: Leaders/Associates will be able to say, "We have people
from all over the country. Dial in a few minutes early and
listen to where people are calling from." That's a powerful
thing to say.
What's a Leader, what's an
Associate? Leaders agree to be semi-regular speakers. They agree
to invite existing distributors and new
prospects. They know how to properly cover all the elements of
our call:
Intro (the Million Friends System,
the Call Outline, the Ruby rank)
"You Can't Miss" concept and Reasons For Joining
How To Get Started (Fast Start Packs
and fast promotion rules)
Welcome and Summary (including promo
for future calls)
Associates will
sometimes do New People Calls. They will participate
5+ times per week and work on inviting prospects.
They will understand and use the Blueprint Training.
|
I've spent 40 years in MLM. I doubt if anyone
in networking has outworked me in that past half
century. Few if any have given as many meetings or
conference calls. No one has written more
newsletters. Why list these credentials?
Because I have never been
able to offer such a strong system at such a strong
time. I don't want you or your downliners to miss
this.
Join me in this. Work
it with passion for 18 months. Continue your general
work in addition to the Million Friends System. Play
this game without giving up and in 2 years you
will be a Ruby. I'm certain of it. By May 1,
2012, you will be a Ruby or higher with an income of
$93,600 to 390,000 or more.
Tell me the truth. If
you put on a full court press for 2 years and ONLY
got to $93,600 per year ($7,800 per
month) you might be a little disappointed,
but wouldn't you have to say your 2 years were well
invested? And how will you feel if you get to the
high end of Ruby and are hauling in $7,500 every
week? Seriously, isn't that about what you want?
Will you join us on
Friday?
|
Some important
Vollara people are not yet participating.
Maybe you have never heard these calls.
Maybe they aren't your cup of tea. But I
urge you to listen at least once to a full
series of calls ...such as the 3 calls on
Friday, April 30th, beginning at 9:00 PM
Eastern.

Dear Bob Cloud (South

Clements):
--------------- --------------- ---------------

In a message dated 4/29/2010 11:54:34 P.M. Eastern
Daylight Time, xxxxx writes:
Bob:
I like your new stand alone mini Chippynews webpages.
Now we can send people to just the section we want. I
have Hawaii 2013 at the top of and bottom of each page
of my daily planner and read them aloud first thing each
morning and last thing each night.
Bob Cloud
---------------
--------------- --------------- ---------------
--------------- ---------------
Are you ready to opt in as Mr. Cloud did? Are you
ready to listen to 5 calls per week...and come on
early so you can say your name and city. Do you want
to participate fully as a leader or listener? Will
you start inviting guests to listen?
"John, if there was a proven
way for you to make $93,600 after one year
and $390,000 after two years,
would you be willing to dial in and listen?"
"John, I didn't hear you on
last night's call.
Are you going to remember to
listen next time?"
Or
do you want me to remove you from this series of
emails? Each time I send an email to 100 people
there are a few who opt in and a few who opt out.
I'm going to keep working through the numbers for 2
more years. To me, success is a foregone conclusion.
I'm not saying it will be easy; I'm saying it
will happen. It's just a matter of
crunching through the numbers, bringing in other
people and solving the problems that come along.
Can you get your mind to the point where mine is?
Then you've must start crunching through numbers
just as I am. I can guarantee 4 things: (1) Plenty
of people will act uninterested and say no, (2)
Other people will be interested and say yes, (3)
Plenty of problems will get in the way, and (4) If
you keep slogging ahead, any level of success is
within reach.
You don't have to be tall and good looking like
David McBurney and James Clendenin. You don't have
to be Mr. & Mrs. Personality as Jay & Lee Anita
Huffman are. You don't have to have 40 years of
network marketing experience as I have. The Great
Equalizer is to get 4 solid Enrollment Tree legs.
When that's done you will be home free. With 5 solid
and working legs you be at or above $93,600 per
year. Some hard charger will do it in 5 months.
Someone else will take a year. Someone else will
take 2 years.
From there it's just a matter of keeping on. More
slogging, more slogging. A year or 2 after you have
5 strong legs you'll be on Easy Street.
Don't worry about the company's flaws or past
problems. Decide to do it and start your journey.
Remember that we're not in business just to sign up
people or sell Fast Start Packs. We like lots of new
recruits and we like Fast Start Packs; but the name
of the game is to get ambitious, committed people
who want to turn Vollara into their life's dream.
Not only do you want 5 good ones; you also want your
people to each have 5 good ones.
Sincerely and enthusiastically,
|

The Million Friends
Email
"Study hard and get a good education. I
don't want you to grow up and be like me." That kind of thinking
was prominent when the Baby Boomers were growing up. "Get
yourself an education. Get a good job."
In many cases, a good job wasn't enough.
The "good" auto industry jobs were hit twice by recessions and
hardest of all by Japanese competition. Good Enron jobs turned
out to be retirement suicide. Hundreds of similar examples could
be cited. Even real estate careers finally flopped.
Computers and software were on the other
side of the coin. Teenagers born at the right time jumped on
computers because they were the latest thing and because video
games were more fun than homework. You know, if Bill Gates had
been born in 1945 instead of 1955 he might have been fighting in
Vietnam in 1974 instead of founding Microsoft. Instead of being
one of the world's richest men, he might be one of millions
of Americans who are not very good at setting the clocks on
their VCR.
"Excuse me, sir. We don't have VCRs
anymore?"
"Of course we do. I watched a CD movie last
night."
"That was a DVD. We use video disc players
nowadays, not VCRs."

The
technology-heavy NASDAQ Composite index
peaked at 5,048 in
March 2000, reflecting
the high point of
the dot-com bubble.
|
Remember the dot.com bubble when stocks
soared to outrageous highs (some of you may have been too
young)? Between 1995 and 2000 financial markets went from about
where they are now to 3x higher in just 5 years. Average people
who got the timing right and hit the best stocks became paper
millionaires. Even multi-millionaires. They STAYED rich if they
got out in time and paid their taxes. They lost it all if they
held on too long.
An even more damaging collapse happened 8
years later (known as the current recession) for different
reasons.
Yes, indeed, timing really matters. And
that brings us to NOW.
A major upswing has started. Do you believe
it? Do you really know about it? Have you heard the term Echo
Boom?
Fact is, it could be worth MILLIONS to know
why the boom is happening and when it will bust.
We'll tell you what you need to know, and
there's no cost. You don't have to come to a financial seminar
or log in to a web site that will trap your address for
marketing. Just call the number at the bottom of this letter and
say, "Hey, my name is Xxxxxxx (last name is not required). I
want to receive your free information. I understand you'll send
me a document, provide a web address and tell me how to
listen--anonymously--to a 35-minute conference call. I want to
do all of my evaluation from home."
Yes, you accurately stated our offer. We'll
send the information immediately. You take it from there. We are
in business, and there is a good chance you will be interested
in working with us. But you'll have your facts in hand before
you ever meet us face to face. You'll be collecting data like
Clark Kent. You'll know the cost options down to the last penny.
You'll be as empowered as Superman.
Up front hints.
1. The Echo Boom started 30 years ago, so
it's easy to look at the data.
2. The Echo Boom is projected to crash in
2032 (52 years from start to finish). By comparison, the Baby
Boom started in 1945 and crashed 63 years later in 2008 (the 2
periods are similar but the correlation is not 100%).
3. There will be some ups and downs along
the way. We've already felt the crash of 2008.
4. Earning $10,000,000 extra in the
next 20 years is very doable once you see what's happening and
take steps to cash in on your knowledge.
5. Ninety-nine percent of Americans--even
some very shrewd ones--don't know about this yet.
Call me and ask for our free email.
It's called the Million Friends Email. So named because we plan
to systematically inform 1 million people in the next 5 years.
That's about 548 people per day. We're not keeping up with that
pace right now. That's why we need your help.

More Convinced Than
Ever
After doing 4
meetings in an 8-day stretch I'm more convinced than ever that
we are on the right course and heading for an exciting future.
That does not mean it is easy to build a strong network. You
can't just show up on a few conference calls and expect a career
to fall in place.
1. There's no
way around it. You'll have to talk to a lot of people.
Many will say no. Others will say yes but do nothing. Others
will show enthusiasm and then quickly die out. In the end, you
can have a fantastic career if you only personally find 5 good
ones.
2. You'll
have to learn to sort out the good prospects from the duds
and the serious distributors from the time-wasting talkers. It's
called sorting. Developing skill in this area is more important
than developing skill as a recruiter.
3. You'll
have to be in the game with action, action, action. I
strongly urge you to put meetings into your game plan. You can
rely on meetings done by others, but your group will be stronger
if you, too, are an advocate of meetings.
4. Make
your initial run toward Ruby. Five strong legs are needed.
To be sure of getting 5, work to build 10. Think about almost
nothing else. Five wide. Five wide. Don't let petty problems or
even big problems (service, product, computer) pull your
thoughts away from an urgent and persistent desire to have 5
strong legs.
5. A good person
is not a strong leg. Good people are important. When we get one,
we have reason to rejoice. But a strong leg must contain 20
people and more. Twenty and growing. At least 3 of the 20
should be committed workers and leaders. Nor is 20 the
end point. Twenty people in a leg are the beginning of a
strong leg.
6. Spread
out geographically. All 5 (or 10) of your legs should be
geographically dispersed.
7. Learn
where the Echo Boom is taking us. Get passionate about this.
Other people need to know. Make it your business to spread this
good news. Built a strong Vollara business within 2 years and
use the remaining 15 to 20 years to invest wisely. This is your
chance of a lifetime. Don't miss a minute of it.
8. Pass this
advice along.

Success Report and
Solid Advice
Can you
convince 10 brand new prospects to read this report
and advice?
You'll
have to read it before deciding...
Some major
ideas and concepts are highlighted. -- Bob Giddens
David, this
is a great report (email
copied at bottom).
I will send a care package and letter to Jim Dickerson
within 24 hours. Put the pedal to the metal and don't
look back. You are off to a great start.
If you agree with my
suggestion of going for Ruby (5
strong legs needed; go for 10),
that's what I will try to help you achieve.
Your
two guys look terrific in every way, but you are a long
way from building either one into a STRONG leg. I'm
saying this to keep your head clear.
The following is advice on how to
work with a good new recruit.
Jim will be
a bona fide strong leg when his group grows to 20 people
and has at least 2 or 3 committed leaders within his
group. Getting from here to there might require you to
do half a dozen meetings and a dozen one-on-one
presentations. Let's put that in perspective...
Our goal is
to get you to $390,000 per year. One STRONG leg is
one-fifth of that! A
genuinely strong leg (well
built and solid) can
be worth $78,000 per year for life.
[How hard are YOU willing to work
to build a leg that will last?] You are
generally aware that I have done a lot of
meetings, conference calls, newsletters and emails over
the years.
The result
is 8 solid legs. 8 x $78,000 = $624,000 per year. That's
almost exactly my average for the last 6 years (with
a less generous Compensation Plan than we have now).
In other
words, this formula is pretty valid!
Let's
continue. George will also be a bona fide strong leg
when he has 20 people with at least 2 or 3 committed
sub-leaders.
The
Jim/George legs I've described are just the beginning.
From there you keep
building, building, building. David, you are
well liked. For that
reason alone you can definitely be an above-average
recruiter. I also want you to be an above average
leader. Most people think the secret is recruiting. They
want to sign up someone like Jim and pat themselves on
the back. "Okay, I've got one-fifth of my career. On to
the next." That's not realistic, but it's how people
seem to think. Then they are disappointed
when their people quit.
I've
learned over the years to Reach
Over The Shoulder of my people as much and as
often as I can. I'll try to become Jim's and George's
friend. I'm not trying to take away your influence;
I'll just be trying to help you by helping them. My
group is big, so I can't do as much hands on work as you
can. But I can help
through my emails, care packages, newsletters,
conference calls, website, etc.
You'll get
TONS OF HELP from me if you do a good job of steering
people toward my services. I'll come back to Richmond
when the time is right.
Help
exists for anyone who wants it. Millions of dollars
worth of help. Anyone in Vollara can call upon as
much or as little of it (the
available help)
as he wants. It frustrates the heck out of me when
someone says they have a crummy sponsor and aren't
getting any help. Truth is, your sponsor is not
responsible for your success—you are.
If 20 of
your people listen to one of my Friday night opportunity
calls, you are getting 20 "assists" at one time. If 50
of your people visit chippynews.com, you rack up 50
assists. Karen Schwelling was in Birmingham when you
attended my meeting in Virginia with your 4 guests.
Karen was getting 5 assists that night.
I also want
you (and
Jim and George and others)
to [very important advice...] expand
to other geographical areas. As you work with
your people, bring this up again and again. Most people
have friends, relatives or business connections in other
cities. We must reach out to these people. If you don't
bring them into your group, someone else will recruit
them and you won't get credit. Out-of-area people can be
recruited by phone/email/conference call/website. Trips
are nice, but not always necessary.
We live in
an electronic era. Whether for recruiting or support,
distance is not really an issue. I know you won't whine
to me that Karen lives 500 miles from you. Who cares?
Most of us are on unlimited phone plans these days. It
costs just as much to call next door as to call across
country.
The more
your group expands, the more you can get help from
company meetings and Giddens meetings. Next time I go to
Texas or California, wouldn't it be nice if some Donovan
people were attending the meetings? For that matter, you
could recruit someone good here in Orlando and I could
meet with them personally.
You've got
me enthused with your efforts. Keep up the good work.
On my
recent swing through Jacksonville, Brooklyn, Allentown
and Richmond, David's is the BIGGEST success report so
far. My trip took 10 days, involved 3,000 miles of
driving and cost thousands of dollars (family activities
were also included). I expect many good results to
follow in the wake of this trip (based
on work by Bob, Chico & Susan, Anita, Fenton, Bill,
Anthony, Bob, Ed, Jo-Ann, Matt, Joyce, Jan & Art, Ron &
Debra and others who were at one of the events).
But this single result (David Donovan/Karen Schwelling
leg) would have justified the whole trip. Can you spot
the formula?
Working
from a base of faith and belief, you must pile
activity upon
activity upon
activity.
Conference calls, meetings, web site usage, personal
visits, etc., etc., etc. and trust in the eventual
results. Not every meeting will work out. Sometimes no
one shows up. Not every prospect says yes. Nor does
every distributor work the business. But the Law of
Averages has a way of making
long term commitment
eventually pay off.
I
know people who haven't yet decided to do
in-home meetings. "We're too busy." "We tried meetings
and they didn't worked for us."
Others never find time to listen to a Million Friends
call. Or they listen to one, but they won't make a
commitment to listen to at least two every week.
Most have
not downloaded the Million Friends pages and put
together a presentation book.
And still a
lot of these people are thinking, "I wish this would
work for me. I wish I had David Donovan's personality or
Bob Giddens' dashing good looks." (Truth is, David is
better looking.)
Friends,
there has NEVER been a time and opportunity like this.
Come on! Make your decision today. Let's do it. Five
strong legs will do it, but we don't give away free
legs. You've got to find good people, encourage them to
grow and support their efforts.
Here's a
challenge. Can you convince 10 brand new prospects to
read this message? If you really want to, you could copy
and paste this message into an email and send it to 10
friends in the next few minutes. Also send new people
here to check us out.

Totally Bullish on America
Dear Rick &
Sheryl (and
readers of Chippynews.com)...
This is an essay on
communications methods
and on
my
passionate philosophies
for building a strong Vollara business
in the
current environment.
- by Bob Giddens
(to jump ahead to the
Passionate Philosophies - look for bold and purple)
(to jump ahead to
the Bullish on America part, look for bold and
green)
Sheryl, thank
you for the impressive update about your history and
methods. I am addressing this to you because the email you
sent was very useful. I am sending this to other important
people as well. Some will be mentioned in the body of my
message.
Rick & Sheryl,
you definitely qualify as important leaders. Now that you
have told me about yourselves, you will hear from me more
often. For 40 years I have written career building messages
(letters in the old days; emails these days) aimed at one
person and sent to many. With my 1970s typewriter, the best
I could do was to make 6 onion skin copies (you would be
amazed at how many uses I got from each sheet of carbon
paper). My goal was to prepare never fewer than 20 envelopes
ready for mailing by noon each day. In other words, I have
always believed in communications.
We'll be talking
about legs later in this essay. Never once have I build a
successful leg based on sponsoring or selling.
Leg development
has always been based on the strategic application of goal
setting, communications, in-depth work,
meetings and
conference calls, training, motivation and problem
resolution. Every story is different,
but various
applications of these techniques have been applied to my
Clendenin leg, my Baker leg,
my Clements leg,
my Brodine leg, my Perry leg, my Michelle Giddens leg, my
Hodges leg, my Schwelling leg,
my Jackson leg,
my all-but-defunct Sisco leg and many of the sub-legs
beneath these first levels,
A big part of
my communications system is to send monthly newsletters to
my primary leaders. As my group got too big for this to be
workable, I converted to a subscriber system. For the best
access to my materials and ideas, subscribe to Chippy News
by sending $20 for 1 year or $30 for 2. Checks to "Bob
Giddens." Subscribers hear from me every month.
In between newsletters, they can stay
connected by visiting this page.
Most of what I
send is suitable for pass along to your downline and
prospects. Your best people will connect themselves directly
to me and become the recipients of overlapping
communications. If I create something really good, they
might receive it from me, from you and from Dan Gibson. They
might come across the same message on chippynews.com. When a
message has value, there is nothing wrong with redundancy.
To illustrate this point: I'm following TV coverage of the
final round of the Masters golf tournament today. If I
channel surf through 10 channels I will hear updates on
every news and sports outlet.
Let me include
an apology to people who hate long essays. Joe Urso, John
Clements and Marc Kloner come to mind as I say this. Bob
Giddens belongs on this list, too. I hate long-winded
emails...unless they are loaded with good and
useful content. Occasionally I take another person's long
email and cherry pick the best points. I often do this with
company emails.
In some cases
I intro something lengthy by explaining that it will take
half an hour to read but is worth it. I'll
warn you right now: today's message may be more than you are
ready for. That does not mean it ain't good stuff.
My goal with
this message is to make a profound difference for some of
you who are trying to build lasting careers. I want you to
learn techniques that work. I want to show you some amazing
truths about the opportunity we represent and the timing
circumstances we face.
I believe in
hand picking standout workers and staying in close touch by
mail, email, telephone, conference calls and meetings. My
list of standouts is never perfect. At one time, 900
standouts heard from me a couple of times each week by
email. It was difficult to keep such a list updated. Email
users change their addresses remarkably often. Moreover, new
and deserving people are always entering the system. Other
people are phasing out.
I just returned
from a meeting swing where I met with Bob Colasanti, Chico &
Susan Guzman, Anita Domingo, Fenton Maxwell, Bob Leary, Bill
Haile, Anthony Carvalho, Ed Hutchins, Jo-Ann Gotzon, Joyce
Hodges, Debra & Ron Herrsche, David Donovan, Jim Dickerson,
Colin Pilch and many others...including prospects,
old-timers who are considering a Vollara re-start and others
who ranged from frustrated to skeptical to gung-ho. This
email is for you and for others like you! I don't have
everyone's email address. In many cases, I must rely on my
VIP to relay ideas. My special thanks to those who attended
and hosted my events in Jacksonville, Brooklyn, Bethlehem
and Richmond.
Thanks also to
the regular users of our Million Friends presentations. The
call schedule is posted at
www.chippynews.com (top
left). Special
thanks to Dick Schreiber, Pat Ferguison, Paul Jeter, James
Clendenin, Karen Schwelling and others who regularly use and
support this system.
My
passionate philosophies
for
building
a
strong Vollara business
in the
current
environment.
Your main goal
should be to build and support 5 strong
Enrollment Tree legs. Double it to 10 for
better results, but
the
absolute name of the game is to build 5
strong Enrollment Tree legs.
As I listen to people
(individually, at meetings,
on conference lines), I am dismayed
to see how many people seem to miss the
overriding importance of this strategy.
Maybe some of you think I am too much of a
hardliner if I disagree with your point of
view. You think your point of view is the
same as mine (stated in
different words). Maybe you think a
near miss is good enough. A philosophical
one-liner reminds us that "close only counts
in horseshoes and hand grenades."
I think some of you
need to reconsider your main point of focus.
1. SELLING? Some
people can't stop themselves from talking
about retailing. Hey, I'm not against
selling the product. At each of my East
Coast meetings I mentioned that my wife has
3 Russian-speaking friends who want to buy
air purifiers. She quoted an $800 price and
I am excited that she has been able to
create this interests. Her friends like the
smell of our home. They know our systems
kill bacteria and viruses. Lyuda has told
them about Tonya's allergies and her
appreciation for the air we "make" from our
machines. But selling has NOTHING to do with
building a strong network. Do the Dallas
Cowboys win more football games because they
have pretty cheerleaders? When players come
out to practice, do they talk about the
cheerleaders for half an hour?
If you have a network
with 5 strong Enrollment Tree legs (200
active distributors per leg) and they
average 200 PV in every 4-week period, here
is your result:
1,000 x 50 PV per week = 50,000 PV
per week
split this into 2 unequal Placement
Tree legs =
30,000 PV left and 20,000 PV right =
Ruby Rank and approximately $2,500
per month of income
4.2 weeks per month = $10,500 per
month (ROCK SOLID)
In all likelihood, 1,000
distributors would produce TWICE this much
income.
Selling is good, but
the name of the game is building 5 solid
Enrollment Tree legs. Too much talk about
selling has the effect of distracting people
from what really matters. It's way off
point. It distracts people from seeing the
significance of strong Enrollment Tree legs.
Secondly, 19 of 20 people see themselves as
NON-sellers. These folks are scared away if
they are led to believe that it takes a good
salesperson to succeed in Vollara.
2. RECRUITING? Some
people want to say that recruiting is the
name of the game (including
company owners). This is a little
hard to discuss...because when we recruit
10,000 people a month (as a
company) we do better than when we
recruit 5,000 people. But recruiting is not
the answer to building lasting careers.
MASS recruiting is
good on a month-to-month basis but LEG
BUILDING has more staying power.
Back to sports. Can
you build a good basketball team by putting
100 players on the court? No, that isn't how
the game works. The team that puts 5 really
solid players on the court is the team that
wins championships and becomes legendary.
3. FAST START PACKS?
Same idea. I love it when my group is moving
a lot of Fast Start Packs, but that isn't
the name of the game. Our Fast Start Packs
are wonderful. They make sense financially
and strategically, but a leader who thinks
he is doing well because he is personally
selling 10 Fast Start Packs per month may
find himself frustrated 10 months later. He
could look back on a revolving door type of
business that loses as many people as it
recruits.
The name of the game
is to build 5 strong legs...and 10 is better
(double your goal). One
leader will have to recruit 25 people before
he has 5 working legs. Someone else will
have to recruit 75 people to get 5 good
ones.
5. PLACEMENT TREE. One
of the most common misconceptions about the
Vollara Compensation Plan is that the
Placement Tree is the be all and end all.
Most people have heard so much about the
Placement Tree (the binary
part of our plan) that they don't
even comprehend what the Enrollment Tree is
all about. I've made some of my good friends
mad by emphatically telling them to stop
worrying and talking about their binary
legs. The more you talk about binary legs to
your group, the more you SLOW DOWN your
whole group.
We do not have a
binary plan. We have a Unilevel Plan with a
"binary component." The binary part is
wonderful, but a guy who worries about his
right and left legs all the time will
totally miss what's important.
Okay, Bob, what's
important?
Building 5 strong
Enrollment Tree legs is the name of the
game. And doubling that goal to 10 makes
good sense, too. As new recruits are brought
in. the computer puts each new Enrollment
Tree person in the weaker leg. The computer
automatically works to balance your
binary legs. Every minute you spend worrying
about it is another minute you failed to
spend on your Enrollment Tree legs (think
10 Enrollment Tree legs for optimum success).
|
Now let's talk briefly about
timing, the
Echo Boom
and being
Totally Bullish on America
It's impossible to live in
America without hearing that the US economy is
going to Hell in a hand basket—or
something to that effect. It doesn't matter
which political party you like or if you don't
like any party; you still hear a lot of negative
stuff.
No matter which channel(s) you watch, YOU WILL
NOT HEAR THE MOST IMPORTANT DEMOGRAPHIC AND
ECONOMIC TRUTH OF OUR TIME (in
a year or two you will start hearing this).
It's called the Echo Boom. Our Million Friends
System puts plenty of emphasis on it.
Here is a demographic
fact. Sixty million babies were born between
1980 and 1995. The oldest of those Echo Boomers
are turning 30 this year. The youngest are in
high school. Another 40 million Americans were
born between 1995 and 2005. Add those together;
we have 100 million citizens—a
third of our population—below
the age of 30.
China does not have this;
nor does India. No European country has this.
The United States is in a unique and powerful
demographic position. We all love our country,
but aside from (a) our freedoms, (b) the natural
wonders of our country, (c) the bravery and
resourcefulness of our people and (d) our proven
form of government, we also have a DEMOGRAPHIC
REASON to be Totally Bullish on America.
Young people are terrific
consumers. They buy bicycles, cars, homes, food,
clothes, video games, vacations, etc.
Young people are more brilliant and creative
then older people (those
video games may contribute to this). Albert
Einstein did all of his great work in a 5-year
period when he was in his twenties. Thomas
Edison started his astonishing run of over 1,000
patents just before turning 30. Bill Gates did
his greatest work in his twenties. This is true
in all fields of science and technology. Young
people think out of the box; they take chances;
they are not married to old ideas. In the end,
they add enormous value to the world and
to their country.
As they advance through their lives, young
people turn into middle aged people. They buy
nicer cars, bigger homes, costlier furniture,
more
investments in stocks and properties, etc., etc.
The US economy is going to
boom for 20 years and economists predict it will
crash again in 2032. Are you ready to stop
listening to the negative crap and start cashing
in on this incredibly good situation? If you can
build a solid Vollara income within 2 years, you
will still have 20 years to cash in through
investments.
We invite you to join
Vollara and, specifically, to use the Million
Friends System to take advantage of this.
Sincerely and
enthusiastically,

2010 (updated in August)
Sweet Dreams For A Lifetime
Dear Leaders and Friends,
Four months ago
Lyuda, Tonya and I drove to New York City
to pick up Lyuda's mother who
was coming from Russia for a 6 month visit. I am
reminded of trip with James & Jennifer Clendenin
to Iguacu Falls on the border of Brazil and
Argentina (our
first stop was a 1-day tour of New York City).
We spend the first day in Brighton Beach (known
as Little Russia)
giving Lyuda's mother 1 day to get over jet
lag. Then we did Mon/Tues in New York
City. Wednesday we stopped on the NJ side to
look at the Statue of Liberty. That night we did
a Vollara meeting in Bethlehem, PA (we
also had
meetings in Jacksonville and Brooklyn on the way
north).
Vollara has risen to a new plateau from where we
were on January 29th. If the next 4 months bring
the same amount of improvements and momentum
growth as the past 2 months have, we will be in
incredible shape by August. We are not flying high and fast yet,
but you shouldn't want us to be (some of you are
waiting for things to be just right—big
mistake). If you want to make Vollara the
great American success story of your lifetime,
get yourself deeply and seriously involved
BEFORE we get into the peak of our momentum.
The
above was written in April. August has now
arrived. My overall organizational volume is up
about 25%. It's hard to see where the growth is
coming from because NO GROUP is booming or
exploding yet. I stand by the projections I made
in April. We should reach a high level of
excitement by next spring. Why?
We
have powerful, determined, visionary and tough
owners. They work 7 days a week (longer
and harder than anyone in the field)
because they have big goals and they believe in
what they are doing. Here's the situation.
1.
We have powerful products. It's time for some of
us to stop grousing about things that are wrong and
shift into a higher gear. I'm not kidding. The
gravy train days will only last for a couple of
years.
2.
The timing with respect to the US economy and
second Baby Boom could not be better. Believe it or
not, the big recession has been one of your best
friends. It set the stage for incredible things
to come.
3.
Our compensation plan is your ticket to
financial security. Set a goal to be a Ruby in 1
year and a SuperRuby in 2 years. See
www.chippynews.com/Hawaii.htm and read it
over and over again until you know what a
SuperRuby is. Stop worrying about your binary
tree and starting building Strong Enrollment
Tree legs. Make it your clear and absolute goal
to build 5-10 strong and growing Enrollment Tree
legs. If you achieve that, everything else will
take care of itself. You can't "make" or "force"
someone else to be successful. Through wide
recruiting and persistent you have to FIND THE
RIGHT PEOPLE. And you need to have SEVERAL RIGHT
PEOPLE in each Enrollment Tree leg.
A
recruiting generation is about 6 months long.
Here's what I mean. Once you get a surge of
growth going, it tends to peter out in about 6
months (little
more, little less).
Even the most talented and aggressive leaders
suffer burn out from time to time. The summer
slowdown might get you. The Christmas slowdown
might get you. A crisis might come along. Even
in normal times we tend to slow down after
any 3-4 months of very intense work.
Things flatten out. If you are determined to go
all the way, you then put together a new
campaign of recruiting, meetings and other
activities.
Experience suggests that our Vollara gravy
train days (which
I predict will start in the spring of 2011) will last for 4 of these generations.
The company will keep growing, but wild and
crazy growth will NEVER be the same.
Don't miss our first SURGE GENERATION because
you will be missing on-fourth of the fun. Each generation you "catch"
will be worth another $100,000 in your ultimate
potential. A person who drags her feet or a guy
who stubbornly holds on to old attitudes could
miss the first 2 growth generations and end up
making $150,000 max instead of $350,000 max.
You
can do the same work 2 years later and the
results will not be as juicy. It is incredibly
rare to know about this pattern BEFORE IT
STARTS. Good fortune is staring you in the face.
Are you buying it? Are you telling others? Are
you buying and telling with passion?
I'm
shouting this message on conference calls, in
newsletters, in person and through meetings. A
few people really get it. A few more partially
get it. Unfortunately, most people don't
see this Perfect Storm of potential that we now
have. The Second Baby Boom is part of it. We're
looking at 20 - 25 years of positive economy. The
keys to hitting lots of Vollara balls out of the
park are (1) START HARD NOW, (2) work VERY
HARD FOR 2 YEARS and (3) SELL THESE CONCEPTS
TO OTHERS.
If
you are in the groove during our 4 juicy
generations you can zoom up to Ruby in one year
and SuperRuby in two. Go to
www.chippynews.com/Hawaii.htm to learn what
a SuperRuby is. Your generation-by-generation
growth might look like this: 2, 4, 8 and 16. Add
those numbers together for illustration
purposes. Catch all 4 generations and your score
is 30. Miss 2 generations and your score is 6.
Miss just 1 generation and your score is 14.
It
really makes a lot of difference if you are
there at kick-off time.
Regards and sweet dreams,

Longer answer:
Why are some Giddens emails rather lengthy?
|
Short answer: I
have valuable knowledge that may help you earn $390,000 per
year for the rest of your life.
I've had a long MLM (multilevel
marketing) career
(first enrollment on 3/3/1970) and have
earned $15,000,000 in bonuses
—an
average of $375,000 per year. I've never been a good salesman or
recruiter. This makes my style copiable by a great number
of
people.
I'm a planner, visionary, goal setter,
teacher and communicator. A worker, too.
I
like what I see as Vollara's future. Ten years from now we will be 20 times larger than we
are today.
I'm asking you to step up to the plate
and
claim a piece of the action.
I've lived a network marketing life for
40 years. Some were some lean years. I know about
being broke and about fighting against scary odds. But during 30 of my 40 years I've been on
top.
Will a networker's life
appeal to you?
Take a look...
Income. In my best year I earned
just over a million dollars. The potential
of Vollara's plan is much greater.
Trust me and go for 5 strong
Enrollment Tree legs
(10
would be better).
TEACH
THIS
OBJECTIVE
RELENTLESSLY

Income history. My first income
goal was $2,000 a month (a middle class income in 1970). I figured I'd have a great life and
money to invest. I didn't get to my goal for more than
a year. The first disruption was a change of companies after 7 months.
Eighteen months into my career I got a
$1,999.99 check. Imagine my mix of satisfaction and anger. My organization was really growing (more than 50
leaders). A year later, I was consistently
earning $12K per month.
Twenty-five years later
my
first goal with this company was $20,000 per month. I
reached that level in 8 months. Check 12 was $53,000.
Had the Vollara Comp Plan been in place
I
would have earned more.
People.
I've made hundreds of
friends—including
some wonderful best friend types.
When people work together in
ways that are mutually beneficial, great friendships can be
built. My efforts helped John & Jo,
their efforts helped my career. Same with many others. Some
of you
have probably always had a lot of friends. This may not seem as
special to you as it has always seemed to me.
Working from home (with
a healthy work
ethic). Unless I have a plane to catch, I never
use
an alarm. Usually I'm working by 7:30. If I'm
involved with something hot I can be up at 6:00. A
networker's life is flexible. Sometimes I
work in the yard for an hour or two (something
I enjoy). If the British Open is
on TV, I watch early morning golf. I am free to be
at work one minute and
taking time off a minute later. If I choose, I can work until 4:00
AM.
I want to
help get
you
to THE RUBY RANK
with a few
extra legs
|
Lifestyle. You can live the life
you want if
you have (1) control of your time, (2) a good and reliable
income and (3) confidence in the future.
That's why I want to get
you
to Ruby with a few
extra legs.
My #1 form of
recreation travel to beautiful, natural
places. My MLM career has taken me to Hawaii a
dozen times, to the Caribbean dozens of times and to
many other countries. I return to a comfortable and
wonderful lakefront home.
Family. Indirectly, I found my wife
because of network marketing. If you're a
romantic, visit
www.chippynews.com/ct.htm.
Creativity, Status. I've
always wanted to be a person of importance. I learned 40 years
ago that as a network marketer I could create own success
level. I didn't
have to be Mr. Personality (I'm
not) to get promoted. I did not have
to have good looks, a ton of start-up capital or special
qualifications. I just had to do the job. I've built my MLM groups based on vision, goal setting,
communications and leadership.
Do the job? What does that involve?
A person who builds 5 strong legs will be a Ruby with a minimum income of $1,800 per week. When those 5 legs
get strong enough, the income will have grown to $390,000 per
year. A smart worker can get to Ruby within a year and to
"maxed out Ruby" within 2 years. That's what
these emails are usually about. Day after day, month after
month, I'll hammer home the ideas that really matter. |
