Michael Dismuke joined EcoQuest in Indiana for $25 before being assigned to Afghanistan. He is under Senior Manager Norm Long who, in turn, is under Key Managers JoAnn & Maury Wilhoite. Michael chose the Breeze as the best unit for his needs. His environment is very polluted, so he also needed some disposable Harsh Environment Pads to keep the inside of the unit clean. The company sent him some free pads after this story was published.

Michael comments from June 2007:

WOW! I got my Breeze today. The shipping box was huge, but after opening it, it’s the size of a cute little toaster. I plugged it into our UBS (Uninterrupted  Battery Supply). I set it on 1000-1500. That's way bigger than our 32x20 tent, but I set it high because of how drafty our tents are. I stood directly in front   of it for about 15 minutes, enjoying the fresh air. After getting a fresh air buzz, I went to chow. When I came back in the tent I could smell the difference… crazy! Then I went down a notch. Man, this is awesome. I think I'm going to need another one for the Command Post where I work 12 hours a day. Last, but certainly not least my office (where the next unit will go as soon as it gets here).

When I came into the office today the Breeze wasn't working. Upon further investigation the Fuse in my Breeze AT 187722 had in fact blown.  I'm going to see if I have a spare in the Breeze in my tent. I'm not sure why this happened unless the power strip I have it plugged  in to  is not surge protected, I will have to look for a protected strip.  I'm really glad that I have the UPS in the tent.  I guess that there was a power spike today, not uncommon with generators. I don't know that this would have happened at home but I will definitely use surge protectors when I get there.

Further investigation of the Breeze I noticed that just after a few days the Harsh Environment Filter is covered in dust. The dust in Afghanistan is finer than that of the dust at home. I work at night so when walking around during working hours you can see millions of dust particles as they cross the beam of my flashlight. You don't notice the 'fine' dust during the day, but you sure notice it on the back of the Harsh Environment Pad. Those are awesome. Every piece of dust stuck to the pad is one less stuck to me.

Keep in touch,
Michael

I'm proud to endorse this great product. Please keep in mind that I cannot speak on behalf of the  Army. I can only represent myself and this unit. I've enclosed a departure ceremony picture of me  with my wife Heather and our daughter Ruth. Also included are pictures of my tent. One shows where I placed the unit above a makeshift closet.

The Breeze is really quiet, especially compared to our AC unit outside the tent. There are 5 guys in my tent. I think I've already sold at least one and I've only had it for a few hours now.

This is an awesome machine. I turned it down to 500-1000 sq ft and bumped the fan up. The directions say if you  can 'smell' the air longer than 30 minutes or so it's too high, so I turned it down. I do rather enjoy the smell of freshness. I look forward to getting back to the tent so I can enjoy the fresh air. Man, this is starting to sound   like a commercial. I'll send you a picture.

I know at home you get so comfortable with the 'air purified fresh air' that you get complacent. You forget it's running. You forget what it was like before EcoQuest. I enjoy the fresh air every time I come back   into my tent, but sometimes after I've been in there for a while I forget that it's running.

Today, I visited   a few other tents, as duty required. In case you didn't know, soldiers stink! Man, I'm so glad I don't have to live  like that anymore. I hang my sweaty PT clothes, and my wet towel near the purifier. The results are that my tent doesn't stink and my towel always smells fresh.

I had asked my Manager if I could use a handkerchief as a pre-filter until the Harsh Environment Pads got here.   He said that was a good idea. I was wondering if it would be too much of a strain on the fan, he assured me that my Breeze is up to the task but the flow wouldn't be the same. I checked the handkerchief today, it was covered in dust. Not only does my Breeze move a lot of air, Afghanistan is dirty.

The Fresh Air (photo, left with a few new products) is far and away EcoQuest’s best seller. Michael chose the Breeze for his desert environment because he felt the “lower tech” Breeze would tolerate more sand

Last night when I was guarding the Entry Control Point, the diesel fuel stove blew up.  The shack and everything in it and around it, including thousands of dollars worth of surveillance equipment, hundreds of rounds of ammo, two 5 gallon fuel tanks and two AT4 Rocket Propelled Grenades.  Let's just say it was a few big explosions followed by large large flames...

We got done with Entry Control Point duty and we smelt like smoke. Not really noticeable to me and my roommate. But to those standing around us they could tell.  After the explosions we had to stand around next to what used to be the ECP, until our shift ended.

Today the mail clerk came down from Ghazni.  She's only going to be here a day so I had to box up my Breeze to send home. Almost immediately after I turned the unit off the tent began to smell like
smoke. Unbelievable. I'm confident that if I had been able to have the smoke saturated clothes around the Breeze for a few more hours the tent would be back to their normal happy self.  Unfortunately, It's being sent home.  Not unfortunate that it will be home when I get there. It's unfortunate that I will be without it. I'm not looking forward to this next month without my BREEZE.  I so should have brought a Battle 'BUDDY'. Do they come in Army Camoflage Uniform pattern?

Presidential Master Manager Bob Giddens met JK & Becky Baker over 30 years ago when the Bakers were brand new to MLM. Bob had a few years' head start on them. As you can see, JK & Becky have built quite a network of kids and grandkids since then.

The Bakers are Christians who have achieved great things and give all the credit to the Lord. Their first MLM involvement produced six-figures for two decades, in which time JK also founded a chain of pharmacies that eventually sold for millions. Meanwhile, they had opened chapter two of their MLM career EcoQuest where they reached an even higher level of success. JK and family expanded into missionary work, as well.

In 2007 JK developed a marketing campaign for EcoQuest that helped inspire the company's expansion Heartland Select. "The link between what I did with my GoSmart Returns program and Heartland Select is a bit of a stretch," says JK, "but if it added a little bit to the decision to build a sister company with a focus on nutrition and the amazing properties of the muscadine grape, then I'm sure glad. My concept was simply to acknowledge the huge potential of nutrition as a foundational product, to make enrollment simple, and to focus on rapid recruiting and the consumption of the product within the network rather than retail selling, which has never been my forte." A believer in working smart rather than hard, JK predicted, “The Heartland Select system is powerful. It will become the jewel in the EcoQuest family of companies and boost business in EcoQuest's technology lines at the same time.”

JK’s technique is to explain the business in a straightforward and exciting way, show the potential and the importance of timing, and leave them with some material and allow them to make an informed decision, then rapidly move on to other prospects. His presentations have always been incredibly compelling.

The Heartland Select company launched on October 3, 2008. No is the time to start using Heartland Select and Infinity2's enzyme based nutritional products and begin doing the things that build networks: talk to friends, run ads, dig up other friends, work as deep as you can down in your network, work trade shows, get back to some of those friends that we've already mentioned, ask for referrals, make new friends, give EcoQuest and Heartland Select meetings, and so forth and so on. Start working on your foundation.

Thanks, JK, for being the leader and frontrunner you have always been.

The Broke Guy

James Clendenin was retired from the Navy and seeking a work-from-home career. Other things had failed and he was thinking of taking a job at a service station.

He joined EcoQuest for $25 and worked for a week with no product. Then he borrowed a credit card from his brother so he could order a Success Pack and get going seriously.

Through aggressive recruiting and dedicated leadership (communicating, giving meetings, planning, motivating, training and problem resolving), his income reached $10,000 per month just nine months later. James & Jennifer have made over $3 million in twelve years.

Congratulations to a New Man!

                Before                                After

I used to weigh 248 pounds and I'm not very tall. I’m now at 146-150, allowing for day-to-day variations. People were surprised how quickly the weight came offin just 4 months! Everyone thought I was sick and wanted me to go to the doctor to see what was wrong, but I refused to go.

BOTTOM LINE: I was sick, sick and tired of being FAT. I had to hold my breath to tie my shoes, and if I dropped the soap in the shower I couldn't find it—HA HA! It was time to do something different. I want to make one thing absolutely clear. I lost my weight with will power and determination, not because of a health product...

...but I use TED (The Enzyme Diet) every single day to maintain my weight and feel great. I love it and it works.

Many people tell me they’ve tried to lose weight but it does not come off. I say...

FIRST: Start with yourself (your thoughts). If you don’t start there, it will not work.

SECOND: Stop SUPER-sizing your plate and everything else. That bad habit existed long before McDonald's or Carl's Jr.

TODAY: I use TED to maintain my weight which works real well, morning and lunch. If I get hungry, I have another shake instead of chips or donuts. At supper I have a great meal. If the plate is too full I just take a knife and divide it in half and eat slow. It is not a race!

Today is BIG with Blessing...
GOD Bless You,
Darwin Cuddeback

PS - People at work laugh when they see my lunch boxthe big igloo one. On one side is only an apple and on the other, TED packs and a shaker; sometimes for a treat, a fruity Fat Burner Bar

Kristin MacPherson lives in Crown Point, Indiana, with husband Bob and their youngest daughter, Elizabeth. This group photo shows the family when they lived in the Chicago area during their first few years with EcoQuest.

Years ago as a single mom, Kristin supported her young family by working at Kentucky Fried Chicken. During her marriage to Bob and when her three older children were teenagers she operated a one-lady home and small office cleaning service. Her workday began at 4:00 am, but she came home from doing offices in time to get the kids off to school before going to her residential jobs.

Bob had sustained a back injury and was not working when Master Manager Frank McGee called the MacPherson phone number right out of the Chicago area phone book (this, of course, was before the family moved to Indiana). “It was an unusual call,” says Kristin, “but we needed a way to bring in more money so I listened.

“Frank sent an air purifier for us to evaluate. He told me I could sell this product to homeowners and small businesses, and even though I didn’t have any spare time, I figured I could offer this technology to my cleaning business clients. The air unit definitely got rid of smells, and I took Frank at his word when he told me it would kill bacteria and mold and remove dust and other particulate from the air. It seemed like something people needed. With nothing to lose and a lot to gain, I signed up.”

Kristin sold 10-15 units a month for a couple of years—mostly through referrals and chance encounters with people. That’s a lot of extra income for a lady who was very busy! She had no interest whatsoever in the networking opportunity, but eventually she got intrigued with the idea of earning a free car.

“Recruiting and becoming a leader was harder for me than selling. I think selling worked for me because I was such a total believer in the technology. I mean, who would not want this product in their home? You know what I mean?

“Recruiting is different. You have to find out what people want and offer the opportunity in a way that fits each particular person,” says grandma MacPherson. “One day I was at my son’s school where I helped out as a track and field coach. All of a sudden I see this famous football star, Michael Singletary, a Hall of Fame linebacker from the Chicago Bears. I called my friend and almost screamed into the phone. ‘If you had a chance to talk to Michael Singletary, what would you say?’ He said to stop acting so excited and take my best shot. Believe it or not, that led to Mr. Singletary signing up with our company. He was not looking for extra money, but he owns a leadership training company and wanted to look into doing some training for EcoQuest.

“A person can’t go wrong for $25. If they use the health products at a 30% discount they can change their life. And most people can make a few air sales almost by accident. A 72-page document called the Proof Book contains letters and university documentation on all the things our technologies do. We’re a good company with proven products and a wonderful opportunity. I invite you to join us.”
